The Harvest

Rice is the traditional agricultural heritage of Borneo.  The natives of Borneo began planting rice since time immemorial.  There are countless folklore and oral heritage passed down from generations to generations.  Rice is also the basis of life according to many primitive religions in Borneo.

Spirits of the Harvest was designed to revive the age old tradition and promote the culture of sustainable productive rice cultivation.

To understand the level of influence rice has on our culture and society, we sometimes have to begin with the basics, the biology of things.  Countless researches have been conducted on rice and the establishment of International Rice Research Institute helps us chart the path we intend to take in our search for the spirits.
